I created Soundcake to give recording artists, film directors and commercial clients a venue to produce music that works - whatever the medium. Whether we're writing and/or producing songs for established and upcoming artists, or composing music for a film or commercial - we are equally at home bringing a track to life through the use of live musicians, sample libraries, or a combination of both. Recent Projects

Brando recently finished mixing David Hopkins' new release titled: "There Are Debts". Produced in Los Angeles by Matt Fish, Brando mixed the eleven song album in Chicago at his Soundcake studio. Singer/Songwriter Damion Rice makes a guest appearance singing on the title cut "There Are Debts". Examples from the record coming soon in the Artist section. In addition, Brando finished composing music and mixing dialog and sound design elements for the the short film, "An evening with Emery Long" written and directed by Brad DeMarea. The film was produced by Laura Szymber and edited by Brian Kallies of Axiom Megamedia, Chicago, Il. "Emery" was screened twice at the 2009 Slamdance film festival and the Los Angeles Film Festival.
